Dearly beloved in Christ,

We have entered into the New Year-2009 with great hope and expectations.  Though we are not certain whether all these expectations will be fulfilled, we can be positive that God will take care of us and protect us.  In the year 2008, we encountered several problems like floods, thunderstorms, wars, financial debacle, communal riots and terrorism in different parts of the world which occurred one after another.  It is possible that we may face similar kinds of circumstances or other unexpected events in this New Year too.   In such situations, we need not fear, as our Almighty God controls everything and trust, that all is in His care.  Deu: 3:27 reminds us, “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms”. He is the Immanuel, and that He promised that He is with us always.  Therefore let us enter into the Year 2009 prayerfully with great joy and hope.

the Rev. Roji Mathews Abraham is our gift to the Mar Thoma Syrian Church, for the ordained ministry. Let’s submit him into the hands of the Almighty for a fruitful and blessed ministry in the Church.

During the past four years, as a parish, we are blessed with the support, prayer and guidance of our Diocesan Bishop, our dearly beloved Theodosius Thirumeni. H.G. has been transferred to N. America- U.K diocese from January 2009 onwards.  Our beloved Isaac Mar Philoxenos Thirumeni will be our Diocesan Bishop. Let us uphold Thirumeni in our prayers for strengthening him to do the ministry well, in God’s vineyard.

Our second phase construction is making rapid progress.  There are still, few members, who have not responded to this great need of the Church.  We do not have much time to waste, but need to act promptly.  So I am requesting you, once again to submit your promises in this month itself and remit the installments as early as possible. In the second phase, we intend to complete the construction of the multi purpose community hall and some guest rooms.   In the third phase we are expecting to complete the parsonage too.  We will be benefitted if we can undertake and complete the third phase construction side by side the second. Therefore, I am requesting you to pray, so that we are able to obtain the permissions from the government authorities for constructing the last phase.

Once again we can submit us and our family into the hands of the Eternal God in this New Year to live more meaningful Christian life.   Beseech God to pardon our sins and keep us in His Divine protection all through the year and for ever.

 Lovingly Yours,

Anchery Achen.
